Apple Dumplings with Mountain Dew

2-3 - Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored, cut into 16 pieces)
2 cans - Crescent Dinner Rolls (open and separate)
1 1/2 cups - sugar
12 ounce can - Mountain Dew
2 - sticks butter
In a 9 x 13 baking pan (sprayed with Pam), wrap each piece of apple in a roll, place in baking dish core side down. Melt butter and sugar together. Pour sugar mixture over rolls, then pour Mountain Dew around the edge of the baking dish. Sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 375 degrees until nice and brown (about 40-45 minutes).

Very good warm with vanilla ice cream!
